Peterborough is situated approximately 250km North of Adelaide in the Southern Flinders region of South Australia.
The Council District area extends over 2,995km², with Peterborough located in the southwestern pocket, and extends to Yongala, Oodlawirra, Nackara, and Dawson. An approximate population of 2000 people live in the District.
