Join the team at Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre as a Tour Guide!
The District Council of Peterborough is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join the Steamtown team as a Tour Guide. This will be a casual role (approximately 3-4 hour shifts) over a 7 day roster that may include weekends and some evening work. Tour Guides deliver tours to the general public, families, and special interest groups. We are looking for people with:
- A strong interest and passion in rail and railway history
- Friendly, helpful personality with authentic people skills
- Ability to speak to a group and communicate to all ages and backgrounds
- A commitment to always improving knowledge of Peterborough’s rail history and all facets of Peterborough’s tourism offerings.
If successful, you will be employed in accordance with the Local Government Tourism, Hospitality and Retail Award 2020. A National Police check will also be required.
