CWMS - Connections

Since July 2018, properties in Peterborough have been able to apply and connect to the newly installed CWMS, and take advantage of the waived connection and application fees.
As part of Council’s commitment to provide clear information to property owners, it advises that at the Council meeting held on 18th October 2021 it was decided that connections of on-site wastewater systems (ie septic tanks, etc) to the CWMS, will be mandatory from 1st October 2022.
From 1st October 2022 when applying to connect to the CWMS, the following fees applied:
- Application Fee: $115
- Inspection Fee: $128
- Connection Fee: $120
These fees will be reviewed annually as part of Council’s overall annual fees and charges review.
From 1st Jusly 2023 when applying to connect to the CWMS, the following fees will apply:
- Application Fee: $120
- Inspection Fee: $135
- Connection Fee: $130
We strongly encourage all property owners who have not yet contacted a licenced plumber, to do so and to start the process.
