Nominations Received for Council Elections
In accordance with the advice received from the Deputy Returning Officer, Raveena Sharma, the following advises of the Nominations Received along with timeframes for the issuing of voter material and the counting of ballot papers.
At the close of nominations at 12 noon on Tuesday 6 September 2022, a total of 12 nominations were received and accepted. In accordance with section 29(3) of the Local Government (Elections) Act 1999 (The Act), draws were held after the close of nominations, for elections being contested, to determine the order in which names of candidates will appear on the ballot paper and the result of each draw was as follows:

Voting material will be forwarded to electors by post between Friday 14 October 2022 and Thursday 20 October 2022. To be accepted, ballot papers must be completed and returned to reach the Returning Officer by 5pm, Thursday 10 November 2022.
A ballot box will be located at the principal Council Office for electors who wish to personally deliver their completed voting material during office hours.
The scrutiny and count of ballot papers will be held at 9am on Saturday 12 November 2022 at Town Hall, 108 Main St, Peterborough SA 5422.
A provisional declaration will be made at the conclusion of each election.
